Thoughts for the Day

It’s been a long time since I’ve written anything, and a whole lot longer since I’ve just written something that doesn’t make sense. Therefore, here are the things I’m thinking right now:

Ode to the Wingman

houston_skylineI finally made it to Houston! For the first time in my life, I’m living on my own in a real sense–as a matter of fact, I’m 25 hours away from life in Provo, if you drive. On a scale from 1 to “on your own”, I’m at least an 8.5. So far, living in the city looks pretty awesome (more…)

Angry/Wrathful Scriptures and a Loving God

For quite a while, I’ve wondered how the Savior, the loving, caring caretaker/creator of our universe and our individual lives, make such statements as this one in D&C 29:

17 And it shall come to pass, because of the wickedness of the world, that I will take vengeance upon the wicked, for they will not repent: for the cup of mine indignation is full; for behold, my blood shall not cleanse them if they hear me not. (more…)
