The Post I Wrote, Published Accidentally, and Decided to Keep

To deal with inner frustration, I sometimes write blogs that I have no intention of publishing. They’re like journal entries with an imaginary audience, but for the most part they are too personal to just post for reading. Today, I wrote one of these posts. And when a roommate distracted me for a moment, I accidentally clicked “publish” instead of save.
I’ve always been intrigued, though, with knowing what people really think and feel. (more…)

I recently discovered the blog ZenHabits, a place where some gent makes suggestions for a more peaceful life. And I freaking love it. Why not stop on by, eh?
So Merrill Lynch totally goofed up and invited me to a ritzy lunch for soon-to-be-retirees up in the Petroleum Club (Exxon-Mobil’s fancy members-only club on the top floor of our building). It was AWESOME! I just sat and ate lunch and pretended to be engrossed in their retirement packages. Hopefully someone there thought I was just a ridiculously successful kid that’s retiring early.
I’m going to start a group. SSCPNSA. Somewhat Self-Concious People Not-So-Anonymous. I’m becoming convinced that there is no one in the world that wouldn’t qualify for the club. If you’ve ever done any of the following, welcome to the club:
