Awesome Story of the Day

So Merrill Lynch totally goofed up and invited me to a ritzy lunch for soon-to-be-retirees up in the Petroleum Club (Exxon-Mobil’s fancy members-only club on the top floor of our building). It was AWESOME! I just sat and ate lunch and pretended to be engrossed in their retirement packages. Hopefully someone there thought I was just a ridiculously successful kid that’s retiring early.
Goodness it’s a good day.

i need to know more about where you are in H-town. i grew up there, for goodness sake! have you been to ninfa’s or pappas restaurants? Have you ice-skated at the galleria? have you been up in the transco tower? have you trick or treated in river oaks? (lame, but these are my favorite memories from childhood) :-) have you been to galveston? just think, galveston was my pebble beach growing up. isn’t that sad? makes you want to have a telethon for someone so deprived!
