To deal with inner frustration, I sometimes write blogs that I have no intention of publishing. They’re like journal entries with an imaginary audience, but for the most part they are too personal to just post for reading. Today, I wrote one of these posts. So Merrill Lynch totally goofed up and invited me to a ritzy lunch for soon-to-be-retirees up in the Petroleum Club (Exxon-Mobil’s fancy members-only club on the top floor of our building). It was AWESOME! I just sat and ate lunch and pretended to be engrossed in their retirement packages. Hopefully someone there thought I was just a ridiculously successful kid that’s retiring early.
Goodness it’s a good day.
